Pioneer New Years Eve Celebration

The “New Years Celebration” will feature hands-on children’s activities with an historic pioneer style and will be held Dec. 29, 30 and 31 2010. Celebration hours are 4pm  to 9pm.  This should be a very kid freindly New Years Eve activity in Salt Lake City, UT.

Pioneer Christmas: A Time for Celebration

Event Description
Pioneer Christmas: A Time for Celebration is an interactive, audience-oriented theater presentation featuring stories, games, dancing, music, and songs that would have been a part of a 19th-century Mormon pioneer Christmas celebration, including a visit from Father Christmas.

The program is family oriented, and adults and children alike are invited to attend. Members of the Pioneer Heritage Company present this delightful one-hour program wearing authentic costumes and sharing the spirit of Christmas past.

The program is designed to engage both children and adults in a festive atmosphere of Christmas singing, fun, and well wishes.

First Annual Pioneer Days Hoop Trundling 1K race

You will like the way the folks from the Utah Pioneer Heritage Arts Roll.  Hoop Trundling was a popular event with Pioneer children and adults alike, as it required a runner keep a barrell hoop or wagon wheel hoop rolling alongside them as they completed the running course. Historic hoop Trundling growing in popularity every day is fun for everyone and great exercise.  Registration includes a Trundling Hoop and Stick, and a brief instruction session prior to the race.   Winner of the event will recieve a Pioneer Fine Art Print from Utah Pioneer Heritage Arts Association.

Pioneer Days of 47 Parade 2011-KSL 5

 July  25,  2011 Monday 9:00 am 
Location: Salt Lake City, UT
 
Press Forward Pioneers: Parade begins at 9 a.m. and runs from South Temple and State Street, east to 200 East, south to 900 South, then ends at Liberty Park. The parade will be televised on KSL, Ch. 5.  Look for numerous pioneer themed entries from The Sons of Utah Pioneers, and wards and stakes throughout Utah.
